Just Add Ink #699

Hey Everyone

Time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink! This weeks challenge is at Just Add Ink is to create a project using the following colours:

I wanted to created a card that may not be the usual colour combo for an underwater creation. I was itching to use the Seaside Wishes Bundle again so I made the challenge colours work for this weeks challenge.

I started by embossing the background with my new Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder. I then took a blending brush and Coastal Cabana Ink and applied ink over the embossing.

I then took the stones like stamp and stamped a path of stones in Starry Sky Ink. The starfish were also inked up in Starry Sky Ink, stamped and fussy cut out. The shells were then stamped in Berry Burst Ink and also fussy cut out.

I layered my embossed/stamped cardstock over a piece of Starry Sky Cardstock and this was then adhered to a Coastal Cabana Cardstock base.

The team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful cards using this weeks challenge colours. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created.

Just Add Ink #687

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you to play along with. This week is a sketch challenge. Take a look at our fab sketch:

I love getting new goodies to play with. I looked at this sketch and decided the clouds from the Adventurous Sky Bundle. After stamping the clouds, giving them some colour and fussy cutting them out, I stamped some planes and gave them the same treatment. The background has been shaded with Pool Party Ink and a Blending Brush.

The team have created awesome creations using the sketch. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #631

Hey Everyone

It’s time for our newest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by one of our co-leaders at FMS Jennifer Timko. Jennifer looks after us and makes all that comes with being on DT a breeze. We love her and Jen Mitchell for everything they do for us!

I received the Spotlight In Nature Stamp Set and Dies when I attended the recent 2024 Stampin’ Up! Onstage Event. This was the first time I opened them to create with.

I coloured my flowers, leaves and butterfly with blends and fussy cut them out. I then took the die and cut a couple of circle die cuts with this gorgeous embossing and patterns on them.

The background was initially a plain Basic White Cardstock base, but I felt it needed a little somethin. I took out the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and the Dark Calypso Coral Blend and added details to the cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #695

Hey Everyone

Our latest challenge at Just Add Ink is to:

I had to think about this challenge as I don’t have any chocolate stamp sets or dies. So in the end I went with decorating chocolate bars. That counts doesn’t it?

I actually had need for these gifts as I recently attended Stampin’ Up!s 2024 Onstage Event. I coordinated a catch up for all South Pacific current and past Artisans. These were my swaps for the amazing group of girls I finally got to meet. Of course there was hugs, laughs and lots of fun.

The Stippled Rose Stamp Set sat pride of place on the two individually wrapped chockies. They were then wrapped with a belly band of DSP and tizzy’d up the way I like them.

We’d love for you to join in this challenge, Head over to Just Add Ink and link up your project.

Thanks for stopping by.

I filled my card with donuts from the Ice Cream Swirl Stamp Set. These donuts are layered over square cardstock embossed with circle/dots embossing. I created my own candles out of the straw that’s in the stamp set.

Freshly Made Sketches $626

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog and a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This weeks fab sketch has been designed by Cecile Ribon. Cecile’s gorgeous cards always inspire me.

I had Easter on my mind when i saw this sketch. The half circles reminded me of an opened Easter egg, so I pulled out my Easter Bunny Stamp Set and Excellent Egg Dies.

I created a faux watercoloured background to place my image and diecuts on. I then added some leafy stems that were cut with the Painted Lavender Dies. An Easter sentiment from the Excellent Egg Stamp Set was added to my layers as well as some Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful projects. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Just Add Ink #691

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday here in Australia, so that means a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge is

Stampin’ Up! DSPs are not only for using in the background, they also have pretty images ready to be fussy cut and placed on your projects.

The bird images I’ve fussy cut are from the Flight and Airy DSP. I inked up some leaves from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set and cut them out. I then took the script background stamp and stamped it randomly in the background. Over this, I took a blending brush and Balmy Blue Ink and shaded over the stamped area.

Because I had a die cut leaf from the Gorgeously Made Dies, I added this also. Nothing like having a full background to my card.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome projects, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #625

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by my fab friend Jen Brum. She is a gorgeous chick who loves to walk more than I do….way more.

I threw this card together as we have been beachside packing up our beach house for the next couple of years. Rent money will hopefully help me retire early so I can craft all day!

I had these flowers sitting on my desk already coloured. These flowers and leaves are from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set. All I had to do was fussy cut them out and add them to my layers. I added a strip of embossed Pretty Peacock Cardstock on to an ink flicked Basic White Cardstock background.

I also had a strip of Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP laying around (because my desk is ultra-messy) so this was added to my card.

As I created this card with a wedding in mind, I added a Silver & White Ribbon bow as I felt this added an extra elegant-ness to it.

The team have created awesome cards for this challenge. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see their creations.

Just Add Ink #689

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday here in Australia and time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge is a colour challenge.

I love colour challenges as they test me to try new colour combinations. This was one of those challenges. I tossed up a few stamp sets and ended up going with the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set as I liked the idea of leaves in Gorgeous Grape and Tahitian Tide Inks.

To add further detail to my card, I used a Artistic Mix Decorative Mask, a Blending Brush and some Gorgeous Grape Ink and shaded the background.

The girls at Just Add Ink have created awesome inspiration. Make sure yo head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created.

Just Add Ink #687

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is a sketch challenge. Take a look at the fab sketch we have for you to play along with:

I’ve created a grungy leafy card made with the Noters of Nature Stamp Set and Notes of Nature Dies. I love the combination of background stamps and leaves this set has. I’ve added in some die cut leaves made with the Notes of Nature Dies to the side of the sketch as well as a sentiment and twine. The strip of DSP I took inspiration from for the colour scheme on my card is called Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper.

The team have created awesome cards with this sketch, make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
