Freshly Made Sketches #731

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog and being it’s a Wednesday, that means it’s a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is Donna Mikasa. Donna has created a wonderful sketch for us as well as a gorgeous card to go with it.

The card I created features some fussy cut images from some new papers that will be released from the-Stampin’ Up! May-August 2026 Catalogue. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on these papers as they are a combination of black and white papers as well as images that i can colour and fussy cut. This DSP paper pack are called Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Papers.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome creations. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

I filled my card with products that I received from Onstage that I attended recently. Most were supposed to be attached to makes and takes but as usual i was too busy yapping during those sessions and I didn’t bother finishing anything off. So they got attached to this card. Perfect for a last minute card for this challenge.I chose to add twine and sequins from the challenge brief.

Just Add Ink #781

Hey Everyone

The newest challenge at Just Add Ink is a fun one. This week our challenge for you is to:

I chose to add butterflies for the wings component for this challenge – coz it’s an easy option…. I’ve kinda gone with an ombre thing with butterflies and circles they are sitting on. I’ve matched the colours on their wings to the cardstock and layered them over some diecut leaves made with the Nature’s Symphony Dies.

The team at Just Add Ink have created wonderful cards for this challenge, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created. We’d love it if you could play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #727

Hey Everyone

The newest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches is here. This weeks hostess is the super talented Michele Ferguson. Here’s her fab sketch:

I went floral. Whenever I don’t have a need for a special themed card, I resort to a floral card as it’s easy and because I love them! The fabulous flowers I’ve coloured and added to my card are from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set. I added some DSP in the background. This DSP is from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack. I am coming to the end of this pack…

The team at Freshly Made Sketches has created wonderful cards that will no doubt inspire you, so make sure you head over and check out their cards.

Just Add Ink #780

Hey Everyone

The newest challenge at Just Add Ink is here for you to play along with. This week our challenge for you is to:

I got the Gears and Textures Dies and Stamp Set our for this challenge – well mostly the Dies. I went to town on using a heap of the dies and just layered them all around the card until i was happy with the look I was going for. For some reason I decided to go monochromatic and I think I actually like this look.

We’d love for you to come and join us in this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #778

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday, so we have a new challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

From this pic I chose to use both the theme from the inspiration pic and the colours from the colour combination provided. Because sometimes I just like to challenge myself.

The images I’ve stamped and coloured are from the Shell Collecting Stamp Set. I started with three shells and that felt a bit bare, so I kept adding them until I ended up with six of them on my card. To the cluster of shells, I added some coral. These have been cut with a retired die and trimmed the complete diecut to layer amongst the shells. To the background, I randomly stamped a starfish stamp in Crumb Cake Ink on the Crumb Cake Cardstock to act like of a kind of DSP.

The team have created awesome and varied projects using the inspo pic and colours. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches #721

Hey Everyone

There is a new sketch challenge for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented Jen Mitchell.

The card i have created features blooms from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set, because you know I have to have a flower stamp set that i can colour. I’ve used all of my yellow blends for these flowers and my Old Olive Blends for the leaves and fussy cut them all out. For a little extra detail, I die cut some leaves in Old Olive Cardstock witth the Natures Symphony Dies and added them to my card. I created a black and white faux DSP strip by cutting black and white strips of cardstock and adhered them on an offcut strip of cardstock and layered it on the card base. The card base was stamped with ones of the ink splatters stamp from the Gears and Textures Stamp Set. By adding these splatters, I think it softens the background a little with all that white space.

The team have created awesome inspiration for you. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #777

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the first challenge at Just Add Ink for 2026. Our challenge for you is to:

Our first challenge as always is a blog hop, so make sure you grab a cuppa and visit the design teams blogs and check out what we have designed for this challenge.

I chose a summery beachy theme for my birthday card. As soon as I saw the Shell Collecting Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! January-April 2026 Mini Catalogue I knew I had to get it as I love a shell stamp set. I kept a very neutral colour scheme and added some Irregular Weave Trim to the layers. I also added a piece of Country Woods DSP as it worked with the neutral theme I was going for. The coral die cuts I’ve added were created with the retired Ocean Friends Dies as the shells felt a bit bare without the coral.

The next blog to visit on our hop is the super talented Nikki Spencer. Click here or on the button below to take you to her blog:

If you get lost along the way or wish to start the hop again, you can click here to take you back to the Just Add Ink Challenge.

Just Add Ink #776

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the last challenge at Just Add Ink for 2025. This challenge is perfect for those who are wanting to finish off those last minute Christmas cards.

I had thought about including all of the elements of the challenge for my card, but I got too lazy and only ended up adding three of them – trees, stripes and twine.

I’ve added trees stamped from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set and paper from the matching Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper pack. I then added a double bow made with the Black and White and Gold Bakers Twine. This was tucked under the layers and adhered with a glue dot.

The team have created wonderful inspo for you, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created. We’d love for you to play along with us.

Wishing you all a safe festive season – see you again in 2026!
