Just Add Ink #771

Hey Everyone

Thanks for joining us here at Just Add Ink! We’re so excited to share with you the first challenge of our new format and hope you’ll embrace the changes and have a ton of fun creating.

For challenge #771 we have expanded our regular Choose Two to now be Choose Two or More! You can use as many of the listed options as you like to feature on your projects, as long as it’s at least two, and don’t forget to tell us in your post which ones you chose. You’ll also have more time to create as we’ve moved from a weekly to bi-weekly (every two weeks) challenge!

I’ve chosen Plants, Pretties and Plaid for my Two or More for this challenge. The images I’ve stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut are from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. I then added some diecut leaves from the Charming Day Dies for a dramatic effect under the images as I felt them lacking just by themselves against the DSP.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome projects for this challenge, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by

Just Add Ink #770

Hey Everyone

Welcome to Friday and the newest challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is a colour challenge. Take a look at the pretty colour combo we have for you to play along with:

Of course I went with flowers as they were the easy choice. A I couldn’t use green, I kept the leaves white. These leaves were diecut with leaf dies from the A Charming Dies. The flower images were stamped from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set and coloured with all three challenge colours and fussy cut out. I layered them amongst the leaves and added a sentiment. To add some texture, I embossed some rectangle pieces of cardstock and raised them up on Dimensionals.

The team have created wonderful cards to inspire you. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what they team have come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #700

Welcome to our 700th sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches!!!!!!! How exciting is that? I played along with the very first challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and I was lucky enough to be chosen to be on the design team from the 76th challenge. Unfortunately my blog when awol for that time, so I can’t find my original post to link to…. But here is a photo of that card I made for my first DT assignment – which btw, I am not loving in 2025… Do you all look back and cards from years ago and say “yeah, nah – I’m not a fan of it anymore?”

The Design Team have decided to re-create cards for this weeks challenge from the very first sketech challenge at FMS. Take a look at the sketch and the card I created for it below.

The Charming Day Stamp Set and Dies got a work out for this card with the background Elements of Text and Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.

The design team have created wonderful cards for this weeks challenge. We hope you can join us in our 700th sketch challenge!

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #764

Hey Everyone

There is a new challenge to play along with over at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

I chose the following two elements from the challenge – patterned paper and pearls. If the DSP pack I chose had’ve had pastel colours in it, I would’ve added all three elements from the challenge.

The cute lil dinosaur images I’ve added to my card are from the Darling Dinosaurs Stamp Set. I’ve coloured them mostly with the Smoky Slate Blends with a touch of Garden Green to match the DSP in the background. I added some coloured rock images and a palm tree cut with the reitred Beach Day Dies.

The team have created awesome cards for this weeks challenge. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Just Add Ink #762

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you over at Just Add Ink. This week is an inspiration picture challenge. Take a look at the challenge we have for you to play along with:

I initially thought I’d go with coffee images, but changed it up and decided to take the colours from the inspiration pic and add them to my card.

I kept my tones very earthy. I’ve used a mixture of DSP from the Country Lace and Country Woods DSP packs. I then added some background script stamping, from the Elements of Text Stamp Set and added some shading with Crumb Cake Ink to this.

The flowers I’ve used are from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. I love the size of this image as it fills up a card so easily. I added some retired Natural Wavy Trim and pulled it apart to create a messiness to it.

The team at Just Add Ink have all created awesome projects. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #760

Hey Everyone

It’s time for the newest challenge at Just Add Ink. This week is a colour challenge. Take a look at the colours we have for you to play with:

I was thinking Christmas with these colours but decided I’m not ready yet to start my festive cards. I’ve gone with a feminine floral birthday card instead.

The flowers I’ve coloured up and added to my card are from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. I layered these over some pieces of DSP from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper as they have gold in them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #758

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you to play along with. This week is a sketch challenge. Take a look at the sketch we have for you to play along with:

I can’t lie. I love me a flower stamp set to colour and fussy cut. I’ve given colour to the flowers from the A Charming Day Stamp Set and fussy cu them out. I had some leaves that were die cut with the Thankful Garden Dies sitting on my desk, so they got added to the flower images. The flowers were coloured with Lemon Lolly, Darling Duckling, Old Olive and the Light Basic Gray Blends. I added Darling Duckling Cardstock to thie layers and find it’s a colour that I will really love. It might even replace Wild Wheat as my favourite!

The team have created wonderful cards that will inspire you. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what the team have created.

Just Add Ink #756

Hey Everyone

We have a fabulous challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink. It’s one that I don’t do often, that is to Just Add a Belly Band.

I think of belly bands for gift type boxes and fancy fold cards. I created a simple card that meets in the middle so I could add a belly band to hold closed. I also like to tizzy them up to make them fancy and always thinkj of a wedding card as you can’t get fancier than a wedding card.

I used the flower images from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set for the front of the belly band because it’s a large image and fits across the centre of the band. I then added leafy diecuts and some Gold Open Weave Trim as I feel it adds to the elegance.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome projects for this challenge. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Just Add Ink #754

Hey Everyone

The latest challenge at Just Add Ink is ready to play along with:

Been working on some birthday cards to have up my sleeve. This floral creation was made with bits and pieces off my desk. I’ve been trying to clean my desk but i never seem to get rid of all the discard images and sentiments – might happen one day.

The daisies are from the You are Remarkable stamp set. They’ve been coloured with blends and then fussy cut out. The DSP I’ve added to this card is from the Floral Delight DSP and it was also sitting discarded from a project.

I went with all 3 elements from the challenge – diecut, flowers and ribbon. Easy peasy for this flower loving creator.

Thanks for stopping by.
