It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the fabulously talented Amy O’Neill.

This sketch has me reaching for some new products that I received at Onstage. I was lucky to receive our first ever Paper Pumpkin products in Australia. I’ve paired the papers, die cut, leafy stamp and sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin set with shell images from the Shell Collecting Stamp Set to create a masculine card for this weeks challenge.

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch challenge for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is me. Would you believe i had to go and check the schedule because I actually forgot it was me?

This card came together as I had the products from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set and Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper sitting on my desk from another project, so I decided to use what I had at hand. I love me a blue flower or two so that’s what I went with.

The girls have made my sketch look gooooood with the cards they have created. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see their gorgeous designs.

Hey Everyone

The newest challenge at Just Add Ink is a fun one. This week our challenge for you is to:

I chose to add butterflies for the wings component for this challenge – coz it’s an easy option…. I’ve kinda gone with an ombre thing with butterflies and circles they are sitting on. I’ve matched the colours on their wings to the cardstock and layered them over some diecut leaves made with the Nature’s Symphony Dies.

I went floral. Whenever I don’t have a need for a special themed card, I resort to a floral card as it’s easy and because I love them! The fabulous flowers I’ve coloured and added to my card are from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set. I added some DSP in the background. This DSP is from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack. I am coming to the end of this pack…

Oops. Forgot to post this from last week! I’m forgetful and all over the place atm…. This was the fabulous sketch that my amazingly talented friend Karren Johnson created for Freshly Made Sketches.

I got the Gears and Textures Dies and Stamp Set our for this challenge – well mostly the Dies. I went to town on using a heap of the dies and just layered them all around the card until i was happy with the look I was going for. For some reason I decided to go monochromatic and I think I actually like this look.

Hey Everyone

Welcome to another Wednesday and the newest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the super creative Cecile Ribon.

I went neutrals with this one. I’ve used the Nature’s Symphony Stamp Set and matching Dies for this card. for the background, I added some stamping with the script stamp from the Elements of Text. By adding this, i think it softens the background a tad. I’ve just recently opened up the Greetings for All Mix and Match Ephemera Pack and have decided that so many of the sentiments work so much better than my stamps – so you will be seeing more of them on my upcoming cards. No point in not using them right?

Hey Everyone

It’s already Wednesday again so that means it’s times for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is my Canadian walker friend Jennifer Brum. Jen creates gorgeous cards that are just as awesome as her sketches!

I went florals. Mainly because the flower images kinda matched the circles on Jen’s sketch. Circles ,who by the way, Jen used to not love on sketches….The flowers I’ve stamped up and coloured in are from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set. I let the flowers shine on the card and only gave the background a tad of background stamping and shading to the white cardstock. The stamping was created with a script stamp from the Element of Text Stamp Set. You can slightly see the script peaking on each side of the images.

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge is a sketch challenge. Here’s our sketch for you to start your cards off with:

I haven’t had a chance to play with the Fragrant Layers Stamp Set yet so I used this sketch challenge to use it for the first time. I coloured up the flowers with a combination of blends and watercolor pencils and fussy cut the images out. I then added some diecuts from the Natures Symphony Dies to add extra details to the card. The square piece of white cardstock in the background has been stamped with the Lasting Linen Stamp in Crump Cake. I love this stamp as is acts like DSP when you stamp it in a colour to match your colour scheme. I then added a Linen Thread bow and some Basic Rhinestones and a sentiment.

The card I created features mostly diecuts from the Gears and Textures Dies from Stampin’ Up!. I added some background stamping from the matching Gears and Textures Stamp Set for that bit of grunginess to the card also as I like lots of details for my masculine cards.
