Freshly Made Sketches #690

Hey Everyone

Yep – I’ m a day late again with posting this card for the latest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Lots going on and I’m not even sure what day it is most days….

Our sketch hostess at Freshly Made Sketches this week is Karren Johnson. You would all be familiar with Karrens stunning cards she creates as they’re always so detailed and perfectly coloured.

I chose a neutral colour scheme for this card and added colour with the pops of pink in the butterflies. I had an idea of colouring my butterflies yellow and black, but totally changed it up and made them a tad bolder in colour. These butterflies are from the Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set and the leaves have been die cut with the Thankful Garden Dies – loving these so much.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #689

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is Cecile Ribon – creator of all things elegant.

I cheated with the flowers on this card as I just fussy cut them from DSP. This DSP is called Floral Delight and when you’re having a lazy creative day, it’s a delight to not think about colouring images. The leaves I’ve fussy cut have been stamped from the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set. All in all, a fairly quick card to create!

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the design team at Freshly Made Sketches have created using Cecile’s sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

I had this set from Stampin’ Up! sitting on my desk uninked – i cant even remember buying it to be truthful….

The team have created awesome cards with Verena’s sketch. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what hey’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #680

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday so that means a new sketch challenge to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week it’s my turn to be sketch hostess.

I took colours from the pretty designer series paper I’ve added to the background for my flowers. So my flowers are a combination of Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon. The DSP I’ve added is from the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper pack.

The flowers that have been coloured and fussy cut, are from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set. I’ve added Basic White Cardstock leaves to balance out all the colours. These leaves are made with a leafy die from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set.

The team have created awesome cards that make my sketch look good. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Everyone

Time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented Karren Johnson

Take a look at her fab sketch:

I fussy cut some flowers from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set and coloured them up with my Wild Wheat Blends and added some Early Espresso to the centre to add some definition.

I paired the Wild Wheat with this Lost Lagoon DSP from the Everyday Happiness DSP pack. To tone down the colour combo I added some Basic White Cardstock leaves cut with a die from the Thankful Garden Dies.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the team have created. You’re gonna love their cards!

Freshly Made Sketches #678

Hey Everyone

This weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is another awesome one. This week our sketch designer is the wonderfully talented Cecile Ribon.

I thought it was time to create a man card for my stash. The Adventurous Sky Stamp Set was my set of choice. I got my colour on and shaded the plane and clouds with a mixture of blends.

I added a die cut to the background to mimic the splodgy bit on Cecile’s ribon. My splodge spread a bit further than Cecile’s sketch, but it’s kinda close….

Loved seeing what everyone created this week. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #677

Hey Everyone

Tis time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week the designer of our sketch is one fabulous chick who I promise that one day I will meet. It needs to my on my warmer side of the world tho as it’s too cold all year around on her side. And there’s bears in Canada. They legit walk around everywhere in the streets! This weeks designer is Jen Brum – creator of lovely elegant cards.

I’ve gone with neutral colours for my card. These colours were chosen after my DSP choice. This DSP is from the Botanical Textures DSP pack. I’ve then added fussy cut stamped images from the Textured Notes Stamp Set. I then added some texture to the background with my new Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Oh how I love a corrugated background!

The team have created wonderful projects using the sketch. Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Kim Singdahlsen.

Take a look at her fab sketch:

I started with seashells with this card and ended switching it up and replacing shells with coral and a fish.

The coral I’ve added to my card has been created with a die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies. I then added a Blackberry Bliss Cardstock die cut from the Ocean Friends Dies. I then added some a fly and fish image from the Gone Fishing Stamp Set. To the fly, I added some gold twine and layered it over the coral.

The team have created wonderful projects using this weeks sketch. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #673

Hey Everyone

Welcome to another Wednesday and a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed the uber talented and super lovely Jennifer Timko.

Take a look at her sketch:

I adorned my cad with images and sentiments from more new stamp sets. The fllower and leaves images are from the Memorable Blooms Stamp Set. I chose Wild Wheat colours for the flowers as I had used a speckled gold piece of DSP in the background. Wild Wheat reminds me of gold so that’s why I chose this pairing.

The sentiments are from the Delightful Wishes Stamp Set. I love the combo of the larger sentiment combined with a smaller solid print font. Under the sentiment I chose a diecut to add detail to the layers.

I had a piece of ribbon sitting on my desk, so I pulled a strand on this piece and it gathered the ribbon. I adhered it down in it’s gathered form.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards using Jen’s sketch. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #672

Hey Everyone

Let’s see what our fab sketch designer Jacquie Southas at Freshly Made Sketches has created for us.

Got myself new goodies so I had to use them for my card.

I’ve used fussy cut florals from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper for my card. Having these gorgeous blooms already coloured and detailed makes it so easy to add to a card. I then stamped up the banners image from the Birthday Celebrations Stamp Set in Pecan Pie and added a fancy sentiment from the same stamp set.

We would love it if you could play along with our sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches. Head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.
