Freshly Made Sketches #633

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by Linda Callahan. I adore Linda’s sketch as much as I adore her cards.

After recently seeing the Artisan Design Team showcase the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set and Magnolia Mood Dies, I HAD to have them didn’t I?

I almost went a bit vintage with this card and then remembered at the last minute that this is a clean challenge! Oops a little roughed up edges isn’t too not-clean, is it?

I coloured up my magnolia image with a combination of Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss Blends. I only gave my magnolias colour towards the centre of the blooms as that’s what they look like in my garden. Had inspo up close for once!

I added some background stamping (again, not really fitting of a clean challenge), some embossed cardstock panels and a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP.

For the blingyness – I added some dots and ribbon that has been coloured with the dark Blackberry Bliss Blend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Freshly Made Sketches #627

Hey Everyone

How’s about a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches? Yes pls! This week our sketch has been designed by Karren Johnson whose cards always inspire me.

The card i created features a combination of the paintbrush from Trusty Tools Stamp Set and dies from the Bright Skies Dies and Excellent Egg Dies.

I started my card with cutting die cuts in a rainbow of colours with the rickrack type die from the Excellent Eggs Dies. I then took the matching Blends and coloured the brush bristles in the same colours.

I took my Bright Skies Dies and cut 3 of diecuts from this set. While i was at it, I cut a sun diecut to add to the layers.

I had a strip of DSP from Natures Sweetness DSP pack, so this was added to the bottom of the card. I then took the Light Night of Navy Blend and flicked ink on the Basic White Cardstock. My layers were then all added and adhered down.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches $626

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog and a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This weeks fab sketch has been designed by Cecile Ribon. Cecile’s gorgeous cards always inspire me.

I had Easter on my mind when i saw this sketch. The half circles reminded me of an opened Easter egg, so I pulled out my Easter Bunny Stamp Set and Excellent Egg Dies.

I created a faux watercoloured background to place my image and diecuts on. I then added some leafy stems that were cut with the Painted Lavender Dies. An Easter sentiment from the Excellent Egg Stamp Set was added to my layers as well as some Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful projects. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #625

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by my fab friend Jen Brum. She is a gorgeous chick who loves to walk more than I do….way more.

I threw this card together as we have been beachside packing up our beach house for the next couple of years. Rent money will hopefully help me retire early so I can craft all day!

I had these flowers sitting on my desk already coloured. These flowers and leaves are from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set. All I had to do was fussy cut them out and add them to my layers. I added a strip of embossed Pretty Peacock Cardstock on to an ink flicked Basic White Cardstock background.

I also had a strip of Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP laying around (because my desk is ultra-messy) so this was added to my card.

As I created this card with a wedding in mind, I added a Silver & White Ribbon bow as I felt this added an extra elegant-ness to it.

The team have created awesome cards for this challenge. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see their creations.

Freshly Made Sketches #623

Hey Everyone

This weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by Linda Callahan. Linda designs great sketches and amazing cards.

I’ve taken Linda’s sketch and flipped it for my card as I like my little fussy cut birds (from the Flight and Airy DSP) perched at the top of my card.

The team have created wonderful projects using this weeks sketch. So make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #622

Hey Everyone

Time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Our fab sketch this week has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jen Mitchell. You’ll love her creations as much as I do.

When i saw this sketch, I reached straight away for the Rhino Ready Stamp Set and matching Rhino Ready Dies. I thought the images and dies I could cut, would create a cute scene for a children’s birthday card.

I added a faux watercoloured background behind the trees and grassy images. I then also added a textured background behind my main panel.

The team have created awesome cards that will no doubt inspire you. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #621

Hey Everyone

It’s that time of the week for a new sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented and loviest person Jen Timko.

Take a look at her fab sketch:

I saw those circles and thought the Lighter Than Air Suite would work really well for my card. The balloons have been created with images fussy cut from the Lighter Than Air DSP. I then added diecuts cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies. The sentiment is from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set. I added some little bird images from a set in my retired stash as I wanted to fill the space on the card.

The background was created with a piece of cardstock that I hand cut to resemble cloud shapes. I then took a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink to create the look of clouds.

Here’s my card:

Freshly Made Sketches #615

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is Amy O’Neill. Amy is the creator of gorgeous cards and always with wonderful colour combinations.

All of the leaves and flowers were sitting on my desk having been discarded from other projects, so this card was super easy to throw together. I only had to add the papers. These pretty papers are from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack. These papers are part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion starting 4th January. They can be yours free when you spend AU$90.

The rose images are from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set and the leaves have been diecut with the Notes of Nature Dies – these products are available in the 2024 Jan-April Mini Catalogue.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome projects using Amy’s sketch. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #613

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Kim Singdahlsen.

I loooooove a great sketch like this. So easy to come up with a card when you’ve got a design as a starting point for your card.

I added a textured background, fake watercoloured background and layered oceanic images. I like pairing sets as I get more use out of them if they work really well together. The fish and lure images I’ve added are from the Gone Fishing Stamp Set. I added some coral that has been diecut with the Beauty of the Deep Dies.

The team have created wonderful projects. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.
