Just Add Ink #762

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you over at Just Add Ink. This week is an inspiration picture challenge. Take a look at the challenge we have for you to play along with:

I initially thought I’d go with coffee images, but changed it up and decided to take the colours from the inspiration pic and add them to my card.

I kept my tones very earthy. I’ve used a mixture of DSP from the Country Lace and Country Woods DSP packs. I then added some background script stamping, from the Elements of Text Stamp Set and added some shading with Crumb Cake Ink to this.

The flowers I’ve used are from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. I love the size of this image as it fills up a card so easily. I added some retired Natural Wavy Trim and pulled it apart to create a messiness to it.

The team at Just Add Ink have all created awesome projects. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #697

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the newest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is Linda Callahan, creator of all things gorgeous.

I thought of butterflies when I saw this sketch, so I took out the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set. I coloured up two butterfly images and fussy cut them out. I then cut some leafy diecuts in Basic White and Mossy Meadow Cardstocks. The DSP I’ve used is from the Country Lace DSP pack. I always keep my strips and off cuts so I had plenty of these in my scraps.

The team have created wonderful cards that will no doubt inspire you. Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #696

Hey Everyone

The newest sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by the uber talented Jen Mitchell. Make sure you head over to her blog and see her gorgeous creations.

I am loving these flowers from the Charming Day Stamp Set – so easy to colour and they don’t take too long to fussy cut out.

I added some die cut leaves to the images. These leafy die cuts were made with the Thankful Garden Dies – I used these as I couldn’t find the Charming Day Dies that matched the stamp set – i have since found them after I assembled the card……

The team have created awesome projects using Jen’s sketch. Head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #760

Hey Everyone

It’s time for the newest challenge at Just Add Ink. This week is a colour challenge. Take a look at the colours we have for you to play with:

I was thinking Christmas with these colours but decided I’m not ready yet to start my festive cards. I’ve gone with a feminine floral birthday card instead.

The flowers I’ve coloured up and added to my card are from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set. I layered these over some pieces of DSP from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper as they have gold in them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #695

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means a new sketch challenge to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the wonderfully talented and super fab Jen Timko.

Don’t you just love a great sketch? I instantly knew i wanted to use the Notes and Totes Dies to be the focal point on my card. To the tote bag I’ve created, I added some of my favourite images from the retired Dressed to Impress Stamp Set as they work so well with the tote bag. The background oval shape was hand cut and stamped with Elements of Text Stamp Set – just for an extra bit of detail.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #758

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you to play along with. This week is a sketch challenge. Take a look at the sketch we have for you to play along with:

I can’t lie. I love me a flower stamp set to colour and fussy cut. I’ve given colour to the flowers from the A Charming Day Stamp Set and fussy cu them out. I had some leaves that were die cut with the Thankful Garden Dies sitting on my desk, so they got added to the flower images. The flowers were coloured with Lemon Lolly, Darling Duckling, Old Olive and the Light Basic Gray Blends. I added Darling Duckling Cardstock to thie layers and find it’s a colour that I will really love. It might even replace Wild Wheat as my favourite!

The team have created wonderful cards that will inspire you. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what the team have created.

Freshly Made Sketches #693

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented card creator Amy O’Neill.

I had fun playing along with this challenge. I had a collection of offcut cardstock so all I had to do was adhere them to the partially stamped background with the Just A Note Stamp Set. I then added a hand cut oval shaped cardstock stamped with the script stamp from Element of Text Stamp Set.

To this oval shape, i added some stamped and fussy cut flowers from the Gallery Blooms Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #756

Hey Everyone

We have a fabulous challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink. It’s one that I don’t do often, that is to Just Add a Belly Band.

I think of belly bands for gift type boxes and fancy fold cards. I created a simple card that meets in the middle so I could add a belly band to hold closed. I also like to tizzy them up to make them fancy and always thinkj of a wedding card as you can’t get fancier than a wedding card.

I used the flower images from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set for the front of the belly band because it’s a large image and fits across the centre of the band. I then added leafy diecuts and some Gold Open Weave Trim as I feel it adds to the elegance.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome projects for this challenge. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

I am trying to use up offcuts and discarded images from other projects from my stash. I’ve had this DSP and flowers leftover just waiting to use. Glad to get them on a project before I ruined them by spilling coffee on them…

Thanks for stopping by.
