We have a fabulous challenge for you to play along with at Just Add Ink. It’s one that I don’t do often, that is to Just Add a Belly Band.

I think of belly bands for gift type boxes and fancy fold cards. I created a simple card that meets in the middle so I could add a belly band to hold closed. I also like to tizzy them up to make them fancy and always thinkj of a wedding card as you can’t get fancier than a wedding card.

I used the flower images from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set for the front of the belly band because it’s a large image and fits across the centre of the band. I then added leafy diecuts and some Gold Open Weave Trim as I feel it adds to the elegance.

Freshly Made Sketches #632

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the Jen Mitchell, who is such a creator of all things clean and gorgeous.

The DSP I’ve featured on my card is from the designer series paper pack, Unbounded Beauty. I’ve combined this DSP with Coastal Cabana Cardstock.

I’m a sucker for a flower stamp set, so you know I had to have the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set and Layers of Beauty Dies. I stamped the flower image, gave the roses some colour and fussy cut the image out. I trimmed the image to fit the layout I wanted. I then added some leafy diecuts to the flowers.
