Freshly Made Sketches #613

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Kim Singdahlsen.

I loooooove a great sketch like this. So easy to come up with a card when you’ve got a design as a starting point for your card.

I added a textured background, fake watercoloured background and layered oceanic images. I like pairing sets as I get more use out of them if they work really well together. The fish and lure images I’ve added are from the Gone Fishing Stamp Set. I added some coral that has been diecut with the Beauty of the Deep Dies.

The team have created wonderful projects. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #668

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is to create a project using the following:

I’m on a masculine card roll at the moment. Although this could be a feminine card too i think. I watercolored some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper with Crumb Cake Ink. I then tore it in to strips and layered them across my card. I then coloured the shells, from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set. I then stamped some leafy stem images from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set and fussy cut them out. To add more detail, I cut some coral from the matching Beauty of the Deep Dies and added them to my card. The coral has been cut with Wild Wheat Cardstock, one of my favourite colours atm. I love adding Linen Thread to my oceanic card – not sure if you’ve noticed this….? It feels like I use it all the time, but it just works.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome cards for this challenge. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created.

TGIF Challenge #433

Hey Everyone

Made a card on the weekend and only just remembered I forgot to upload it! This card has been made for the TGIF Challenge. This week is their sketch challenge week.

The card I created features images from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set. I added a coral stamp to the background and flicks with the Dark Basic Black Blend. I then added some leaves that had been discarded from another project. The anchor I added was also sitting in my discarded images. Some twine was added as well as a stamped sentiment from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #589

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means a new sketch challenge to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by Linda Callahan. Linda’s card are always perfect with the best images and matching sentiments. Even though I had Linda’s sketch in front of me, I kinda stuck the middle strip under the circle – but I figure it was close enough – and hope she forgives me….

The stamp set I’ve decorated my card with is called Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set. I’ve also used die cuts from the matching Beauty of the Deep Dies. I created a sort of port hole by using circle dies and small dots cut with one of my expired tag punches. This little circle is the hole that was cut out of the top of the tag. I added this blue strip of DSP from the Countryside Inn DSP pack because it felt a bit nautical to me with the stripes.

The team have created awesome cards with this weeks sketch. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.
