Time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Our fab sketch this week has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jen Mitchell. You’ll love her creations as much as I do.
When i saw this sketch, I reached straight away for the Rhino Ready Stamp Set and matching Rhino Ready Dies. I thought the images and dies I could cut, would create a cute scene for a children’s birthday card.
I added a faux watercoloured background behind the trees and grassy images. I then also added a textured background behind my main panel.
The team have created awesome cards that will no doubt inspire you. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.
This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is a sketch challenge. Take a look at the fab sketch we have for you to play along with:
I’ve created a grungy leafy card made with the Noters of Nature Stamp Set and Notes of Nature Dies. I love the combination of background stamps and leaves this set has. I’ve added in some die cut leaves made with the Notes of Nature Dies to the side of the sketch as well as a sentiment and twine. The strip of DSP I took inspiration from for the colour scheme on my card is called Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper.
The team have created awesome cards with this sketch, make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
It’s that time of the week for a new sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented and loviest person Jen Timko.
Take a look at her fab sketch:
I saw those circles and thought the Lighter Than Air Suite would work really well for my card. The balloons have been created with images fussy cut from the Lighter Than Air DSP. I then added diecuts cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies. The sentiment is from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set. I added some little bird images from a set in my retired stash as I wanted to fill the space on the card.
The background was created with a piece of cardstock that I hand cut to resemble cloud shapes. I then took a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink to create the look of clouds.
Here’s my card:

Had a few mins to play in my craft room today that wasn’t for design team stuff. The challenge at Global Design Project got me wanting to get craft with their pretty colour challenge.
After tossing up stamp sets, I decided the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set was the set I was going to use. I know ladybugs are these colours, but I reckon it doesn’t really matter that much, does it?
I’ve added tearing, blending and ink splatters to the background and then layered the images over it all.
The newest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by Jacquie South’s. Her creations are just gorgeous, so make sure you head over to her blog and see her creations.
I’ve paired roses and leaves from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set with black and white DSP from the Zoo Crew DSP pack.
Welcome to our first challenge for 2024 at Just Add Ink. As always, our first challenge is a blog hop. Make sure you go for a tour and see the gorgeous creations the Just Add Ink Design Team have created.
Our challenge for you is to:
This challenge is right up my alley. Just Add Flowers? Yes pls!
I sat down at my desk and took out the Stippled Rose Stamp Set. I am loving the artwork in these roses and gave them colour with my Fresh Freesia Blends. The leaves were coloured with a combination of Mint Macaron Blends and a green Watercolor Pencil – I forgot what colour it is though…
I embossed three squares of Basic White Cardstock with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder and added a strip of ribbon to the one on the top right.
The next hop along the way is my very crafty friend Ann Alexander. Click here or on the badge below to take you to her blog and to continue the hop.

I’m actually glad to get back to my floral creations. I love doing Christmas, but flowers are really my thing!
The stamp set I’ve used for my card is called Stippled Rose Stamp Set. I took out my Wild Wheat Blends for these blooms. To create shadows and definition, I added touches of Smoky Slate. The leaves have been given colour with my Old Olive Blends. All of the images were fussy cut out. I do have dies to cut out these flowers, but I like a really fine edge out the images.
I added a strip of Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper to a strip of Wile Wheat Cardstock and strategically place the flowers and leaves to hide the glue that I stuck them together with. I added texture to the background with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder and a strip of Gold Faux Leather Trim – just coz I could!
The team have created wonderful projects to inspire you, so make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they have created.
Welcome to my first post for 2024! I hope you all had the most wonderful Xmas and Happy New Year. I’m the sketch hostess for our first sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.
Here’s my sketch:
I’ve gone back to my love of flowers for my card. These pretty blooms are from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set. I wanted yellow flowers so I’ve used all of my yellow blends to give them life. This stamp set has an ink splatters stamp, so I added random splatters to the background as well as shading with Lemon Lolly Ink and a Blending Brush.
Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what everyone has created with my sketch.
It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is Amy O’Neill. Amy is the creator of gorgeous cards and always with wonderful colour combinations.
All of the leaves and flowers were sitting on my desk having been discarded from other projects, so this card was super easy to throw together. I only had to add the papers. These pretty papers are from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack. These papers are part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion starting 4th January. They can be yours free when you spend AU$90.
The rose images are from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set and the leaves have been diecut with the Notes of Nature Dies – these products are available in the 2024 Jan-April Mini Catalogue.
The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome projects using Amy’s sketch. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.
