Just Add Ink #662

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday here in Australia, so that means we have a new challenge over at Just Add Ink for you to play along with.

I really wanted to use these pretty paper from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper pack. This paper was the starting point to my card. From there I decided to keep my card with a mostly blue colour scheme. I added tinges of Smoky Slate Ink in the leaves I’ve stamped and tucked under the daisies. Or maybe they’re a new breed of flowers as I don’t think there are any blue daisies…

These blue flowers are from the Delightful Daisies Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Black Memento Ink and coloured the petals with my blue blends. I took the Dark Smoky Slate Blend and added colour to the centre of the flowers.

I shaded the background beneath the flowers with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink. I then added some die cut leaves. These leaves are from the Textured Floral Dies.

As always, the team at Just Add Ink have created awesome projects. Make sure you head over to the challenge and check out their creations.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #656

Hey Everyone

There’s a new challenge over at Just Add Ink.This week is inspiration pic week. Take a look at the pic we have for you:

I was going to go with a sunset reflection type scene, but i couldn’t come up with anything that I liked, so I created a floral creation instead using the colours from the inspiration pic.

The pretty daisies I’ve used for my card are from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set. I’ve given them a quick colour with my blends.

The background was shaded and I then flicked ink over the shading.

Here’s my card:

Make sure you check out the wonderful cards the DT have created at Just Add Ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #584

Hey Everyone

It’s new sketch challenge time at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented Linda Callahan.

A new catalogue means I have so many choices for sets to use on my cards. The stamp set I’ve inked up for the first time for this card is called the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set. This set has two stamps for each daisy – one for the outline and one can be inked up to colour the flower. Instead of using the second stamp, I coloured my daisies with my Daffodil Delight Blends. For the centre of the flowers, I took my Light Smoky Slate Blend and added shadows to create depth.

The leaves are also from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set. They have been stamped with Garden Green Ink. I stamped the leaf on to Basic White Cardstock and then stamped the leaf again without inking up the stamp. This gave me a lighter shade of green for some of the leaves. All images were fussy cut out.

The team have created awesome cards. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches to see what they have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
