Made a card on the weekend and only just remembered I forgot to upload it! This card has been made for the TGIF Challenge. This week is their sketch challenge week.

The card I created features images from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set. I added a coral stamp to the background and flicks with the Dark Basic Black Blend. I then added some leaves that had been discarded from another project. The anchor I added was also sitting in my discarded images. Some twine was added as well as a stamped sentiment from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set.

Welcome to my blog and another sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jen Mitchell.

I filled my card with flowers and DSP for this week sketch. The papers I’ve used are from the Countryside Inn DSP paper pack. The stamped flowers and leaves are from the Textured Floral Stamp Set. And the leafy die cut is cut with the matching Textured Floral Dies.

The card I’ve created lots of flowers and details…they all kind of just fell on to my card! I’ve used the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies to layer all over my card.

Global Design Project #405

Hey Everyone

Love my weekends when I can craft, this weekend wasn’t one of them. I did however manage to get one card made. I created this card for the latest colour challenge at Global Design Project.

The card I created features butterflies from the Night of Flight Stamp Set combined with leaves from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set. The leaves were stamped in Wild Wheat and fussy cut out. The butterflies were shaded with my Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path Blends.

Just Add Ink #664

Hey Everyone

Who’s ready for a new colour challenge at Just Add Ink? Myself and the Design Team are!

This week our colours for you to create with are:

Can you believe this card started off quite plain? It then grew in to this…lotsa layers and details.

The stamp set I’ve used is called Hello Ladybug. It had been neglected so I decided to give it the ink love and came up with this.

I used two embossing folders from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack. I added diecuts cut with the Countryside Corners Dies. I’ve layered these dies with images stamped from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set. Because you can never have too many details, I added some flowers from the same stamp set.

Freshly Made Sketches #597

The newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jacquie Southas. Take a look at her fab sketch:

The card I created features the Queen Bee Stamp Set and matching Queen Bee Dies. I started off with a clean background but then felt it lacked a little bit of something so I shaded ink to the Basic White Cardstock and flicked the nib of the Dark Smoky Slate Blend to create splatters.

I then added by images and die cuts. A birthday sentiment and three gold gems finished off my card.

Hey Everyone

The card I’ve created today is for the latest challenge at Global Design Project. This week their challenge is to CASE this fab project from Susan Wong:

I created a card with tags and ribbon detail like Susan’s creation. I’ve gone with a fun birthday card using the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set.

The colours I’ve used on my card are Pebbled Path, Coastal Cabana and Gray Granite. I feel like this card could be a feminine and a masculine card.

Just Add Ink #662

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday here in Australia, so that means we have a new challenge over at Just Add Ink for you to play along with.

I really wanted to use these pretty paper from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper pack. This paper was the starting point to my card. From there I decided to keep my card with a mostly blue colour scheme. I added tinges of Smoky Slate Ink in the leaves I’ve stamped and tucked under the daisies. Or maybe they’re a new breed of flowers as I don’t think there are any blue daisies…

These blue flowers are from the Delightful Daisies Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Black Memento Ink and coloured the petals with my blue blends. I took the Dark Smoky Slate Blend and added colour to the centre of the flowers.

I shaded the background beneath the flowers with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink. I then added some die cut leaves. These leaves are from the Textured Floral Dies.

I’ve found the combo of Wild Wheat and Basic Black is quite striking, so I’ve used this for my card today.Suppose any colour with black comes across as striking.

I’ve used products from the Gorgeously Made Bundle. Really loving the background script stamp.You will probably see it feature on a lot of my cards.

I haven’t used the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set for a while, so it got a workout on my card today. I’ve been very drawn to blue lately as you might be able to tell…. I added some leaf diecuts cut with the Textured Floral Dies.The flowers and leaves were placed over a shaded and inked background. The background script stamp is from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set.
